There’s just something about a lighthouse that seems to draw people to them.
Maybe it’s the simplicity and steadiness of the lighthouse that people enjoy.
Maybe its resilience and humility.
Maybe its heartbeat.
Lighthouses are not just stone, brick, metal, and glass.
There’s a story at every lighthouse...
"Lighthouses are endlessly suggestive signifiers of both human isolation and our ultimate connectedness to each other" (Virginia Woolf)

More about the area -
Stilbaai is fondly known as 'The Bay of the Sleeping Beauty' — a reference to the peculiar shape of the nearby Langeberg Mountain range.
This beautiful coastal town is situated along the scenic southern coast of South Africa. It forms part of the Garden Route of the Western Cape. Visitors are treated to exquisite views of the Goukou River, as it snakes through lush green vegetation on its course to the Indian Ocean.
The pristine white sand beaches are perhaps the jewel in Stilbaai's crown and have been awarded Blue Flag status, a certification by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) that a beach, marina, or sustainable boating tourism operator meets certain standards.
